Welcome to My Blog!

Hello everyone. If you're reading this, it means you've discovered my blog—welcome! Please be patient with me as I begin my blogging adventure with this very first post. (Ahhh!!) A year ago, if someone had told me to start blogging about my expertise in the grooming world, I would have laughed. My goal here is to fill some of my free time by sharing my thoughts, recommending grooming techniques and products you can use at home, and to educate people on the importance of getting their dog groomed (even if they are a farm dog!). It's important to keep a dog's coat clean for their health and well-being to prevent any skin irritations or underlying health issues.

Let me begin by introducing myself for those who aren't familiar with me. My name is Justine, and I'll be turning 30 at the end of this month (February 27th), which feels crazy to me as I enter a new decade! I reside on a farm just outside the community of Radville with my partner and our nearly 11-month-old son, Henry. Originally from Regina, SK, I quickly embraced the charm of small-town life, and I must say, it's truly the best! I have never been happier than I am now, surrounded by the people who matter most to me.

Together with my favorite people, we have three dogs who rule the house—Bruce, Fran, and Oliver. They are great buds who enjoy playing and patrolling the yard to ensure there are no intruders—no pheasant is safe here! We truly couldn't ask for a better trio. Otis is our indoor cat who enjoys exploring outside when the weather is nice, but like me, he doesn't go out much when it's cold and snowy. We also have three barn cats that manage the mice population, and chickens that will arrive in the spring again.

Being at home with Henry has sparked my interest in finding a hobby! I wanted something enjoyable to do in my free time, so I purchased a Cricut. It's incredibly versatile and can do almost anything, which can be a bit overwhelming, but I am constantly learning. I craft, creating everything from cards and signs to decals—you name it! When spring arrives, I really want to concentrate on my garden. I'm aiming for a large garden with a good yield so we can preserve enough to last through the winter! I became interested in pickling about two years ago with my partner's mom, and now I want to dive deeper into pickling and canning and learning how to preserve as much as I can.

In addition to enjoying my hobbies and spending time at home with my baby, I also work as a pet groomer, which is why you're visiting this page. I have been grooming dogs for 12 years. Throughout the years, I have acquired various techniques and strive to keep up with the latest cuts and styles. I've participated in grooming seminars and conventions and will be attending the Master Groom Canada event in Calgary at the end of July. I am dedicated to providing your pets with the best care in the salon and continuously update my knowledge.

I'm excited for you to join me as I discuss various subjects related to pets in grooming world!
